GENERAL FEATURES

The systemOCTOPUSis an all-in-one comprehensive solution designed for the demands of modern architecture. It combines a very high efficiency heat recovery unit with a hydronic air treatment unit. Capable of managing thecontrolled mechanical ventilation (CMV), heating, cooling and dehumidification, all managed by an intelligent zone control that ensures pure air and perfect temperature 365 days a year.

Cutting-edge Engineering and Components

Structure and Acoustic Insulation

The chassis is made of thick galvanised steel sheet, designed to be self-supporting and resistant to torsion. The entire interior is lined with aclosed-cell thermal-acoustic insulationthat not only prevents energy losses and condensation but also acts as a critical barrier to noise, allowing the equipment to be installed in false ceilings of habitable areas with minimal sound impact.

Cross-Flow Heat Recovery Unit

The core of the system is a high-efficiency heat exchanger made of polypropylene. This component allows the transfer of thermal energy from the stale air extracted from the home to the fresh air entering from outside, with aperformance exceeding 90%. The air flows remain completely separate, ensuring that there is no transfer of odours or contaminants.

Automatic Bypass (Free-Cooling)

It incorporates a motorisedtotal bypass dampermanaged by electronic control. During summer nights or in intermediate seasons, when the outside temperature is lower than the inside, the system diverts the air so that it does not pass through the heat exchanger. This allows the home to be cooled for free and naturally using the fresh air from outside.

Electronically Commutated (EC) Fans

Equipped with backward-curved centrifugal fans driven byEC Inverter motors. Unlike traditional AC motors, EC motors allow for infinitely variable speed control, consuming up to 50% less energy and maintaining a constant airflow even when the filters begin to get dirty or the duct network offers resistance.

Hydronic Thermal Treatment Battery

Unlike a standard heat recovery unit, the Octopus includes a high-capacity water-air heat exchange battery (copper tubes and aluminium fins). This battery allows the unit to perform completethermal conditioning(heating and cooling) and dehumidification of the supply air, working in perfect synergy with aerothermal systems or low-temperature boilers.

High Efficiency Filtration System

To ensure maximum indoor air quality (IAQ), the unit features two stages of filtration: a filter in the extraction to protect the heat recovery unit and ahigh efficiency filter (ePM1 50% / F7)in the external air intake. The latter is capable of retaining pollen, spores, and fine particulate pollutants, ensuring a healthy indoor environment free from allergens.

Optimised Condensate Drainage

The unit integrates a condensate collection tray made from corrosion-resistant material, with a sloped design that ensures the quick evacuation of water generated during cooling and dehumidification processes. This prevents the proliferation of bacteria or mould inside the unit, maintaining system hygiene.

Total Accessibility "Service-Friendly"

Designed for the installer and the user, the chassis features quick access panels that allow filters to be replaced in seconds without the need for special tools. Additionally, critical components such as fans or the heat recovery unit are easily removable from the bottom, facilitating preventive maintenance tasks even in tight spaces.

The systemOctopusstands out for its extraordinary compactness, with a chassis height of just 240 mm that makes it easy to place in any residential false ceiling. The upper diagram details the arrangement of the 10 circular connections (5 for supply and 5 for extraction) with a diameter of 75 mm, designed for quick connection using flexible hoses that eliminate the need for complex fittings and drastically reduce installation time.
