GENERAL FEATURES
The UTA and UTAZ air treatment units are designed for ventilation, filtration and air conditioning in industrial and tertiary facilities. Thanks to their modular construction, they allow for the configuration of multiple treatment stages such as filtration, heating, cooling, humidification and heat recovery, adapting to the specific needs of each project.
Main Components
Construction and Components
Carpentry
The UTA and UTAZ units are manufactured with a robust structure made of galvanised steel sheet, treated with powder-coated polyurethane baked at high temperature to ensure high resistance to corrosion and aggressive environments such as indoor swimming pools. The panels are completely removable, allowing quick access to all internal components to facilitate maintenance operations. All fastening elements are made of stainless steel to ensure the durability of the assembly.
Refrigeration circuit
The refrigeration circuit is designed with components from leading international brands and in accordance with current regulations, using R410A refrigerant. It includes a liquid sight glass, a dehydrator filter, a thermostatic expansion valve with external regulation, and Schrader-type service valves for control and maintenance. Additionally, it incorporates safety devices according to PED regulations to ensure reliable operation under all conditions.
Compressors
The compressors are of the scroll or rotary type, equipped with thermal protection via klixon and mounted on anti-vibration supports to minimise noise and vibrations. Optionally, they can incorporate additional acoustic insulation. The design allows for easy access for inspection and maintenance from the front panels.
Heat exchange batteries
The condensation and evaporation batteries are made with copper tubes and high-efficiency aluminium fins, optimised to maximise thermal exchange and reduce pressure losses. The evaporators feature an epoxy anti-corrosion treatment, especially suitable for aggressive environments such as swimming pool installations or areas with high humidity. :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}
Heat recovery unit
The units incorporate double-pass cross-flow heat recovery units that allow for an increase of up to 30% in dehumidification capacity with the same energy consumption. This system also allows for sensible pre-cooling of the outside air to conditions close to saturation, optimising system performance and reducing overall thermal load. :contentReference[oaicite:1]{index=1}
Fans
Equipped with high-efficiency EC brushless radial fans, directly coupled to eliminate transmission losses. They feature continuous speed regulation via a 0–10 V signal, dynamic balancing according to ISO 1940 standards, and integrated electronic protection. This system ensures quiet, efficient operation with precise control of air flow. :contentReference[oaicite:2]{index=2}
Air filtration
The filtration system consists of high-efficiency synthetic fibre filters, ISO ePM10 50% class according to EN ISO 16890 standards. The filters are easily removable, facilitating their cleaning and maintenance, and ensure adequate indoor air quality and protection of the equipment components. :contentReference[oaicite:3]{index=3}
Air management and dampers
The units are equipped with external air intake and exhaust grilles made of aluminium with extruded fins and driven by electric servomotors directly controlled by the microprocessor. This allows for precise management of the fresh air and recirculation based on working conditions. :contentReference[oaicite:4]{index=4}
Microprocessor and control
All units incorporate an advanced microprocessor for complete management of the equipment, including temperature and humidity control, compressor timing, defrost cycles, management of external air and post-treatment. The system features an LCD display for parameter and alarm visualisation, as well as the possibility of communication via Modbus RS485 protocol for integration into BMS systems. :contentReference[oaicite:5]{index=5}
Sensors and regulation
The units are equipped with temperature and humidity probes installed in the air return, which allow for precise control of operation based on environmental conditions. The system can operate in dehumidification, heating, or cooling modes, automatically adapting to the defined parameters.
Electrical panel and safety
The electrical panel is constructed in accordance with current European directives and incorporates a main switch with door lock, phase sequence relay, and all necessary protection elements to ensure the safety of the equipment. Access is easily achieved from the front of the unit, facilitating maintenance and diagnostic tasks.
